Terms of Service

What the Service does

SlopStopper scans your code and/or a live URL you provide and reports a "punch list" of production- readiness findings — things like missing error monitoring, dependency vulnerabilities, and reliability gaps. It can also generate suggested code fixes and open pull requests via a connected GitHub App, and run an AI agent that clicks through your app's flows on a local build.

Accounts

There's no separate registration — connecting a GitHub repository creates your account, tied to your GitHub identity. You're responsible for whatever happens under your GitHub account and for keeping it secure; we're not responsible for access someone else gets through it.

Your right to scan what you scan

You're responsible for having the right to grant the Service access to any repository or URL you connect or submit. Don't point SlopStopper at code or infrastructure you don't own or don't have permission to have scanned — including a third party's live site.

GitHub App access

Installing our GitHub App grants the Service the specific repository permissions shown on GitHub's own installation screen at the time you install it (reading code, and — for the AI-fix feature — opening pull requests and posting comments). You can review or revoke that access at any time from your GitHub account's Applications settings; revoking it stops future scans of that repo immediately.

Plans, billing, and cancellation

Paid plans are billed by Stripe on a recurring basis. Pricing, plan limits, cancellation, and refunds are covered in the Sales & Refund Policy, which is part of these terms.

AI-generated output isn't guaranteed correct

Findings, suggested fixes, and pull requests produced by the Service — including anything generated by a third-party AI model — may be incomplete, inaccurate, or simply wrong. You're responsible for reviewing every AI-generated pull request before merging it, the same as you would review a human contributor's PR. The Service is a diagnostic tool, not a substitute for a professional security audit, and passing a SlopStopper scan is not a certification or guarantee that your app is secure or production-ready.

Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to:

• Scan a repository, URL, or system you don't have permission to scan.
• Attempt to circumvent free-tier usage limits (e.g. by generating cookies or accounts programmatically).
• Reverse-engineer, resell, or white-label the Service without our agreement.
• Send it anything unlawful, or use it in a way that disrupts the Service for other users.

We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate this section.

Your code, your rights

We don't claim any ownership over your source code or repository content. You keep all rights to what you submit or connect. We retain all rights to the Service itself — the scanning engine, checks, and site.

The Service is provided "as is"

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the scan is exhaustive, that it will catch every issue in your app, or that it will be available uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SlopStopper won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including damages resulting from an AI-generated fix that was merged without review. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or $100 if you're on the free tier).

Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the GitHub App and/or canceling your subscription. We may suspend or terminate your access for violating these terms, non-payment, or abuse of the free tier.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service changes. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
